Top 5 Medical Apps on Android in South Africa Q3 2022

Throughout the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 medical apps in South Africa on the Android platform showed varied trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Kena Health: Online Doctor saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at 8.9K in the week of August 22. Downloads began at 2.3K at the end of June, rose to 4.5K by mid-August, and then declined to 314 by the end of September.

Covid Alert SA experienced a decline in weekly active users, starting from 10.8K at the end of June and dropping to 5.9K by the end of September. Weekly downloads also showed a decreasing trend, starting at 2.6K and ending at 438.

GEMS: Member had a notable spike in downloads, reaching 2K in the week of September 12. The app's weekly downloads were relatively low for most of the quarter, averaging around 300, with a significant increase in early September.
